5 Reasons for a Kitchen Showroom Visit

We’ve been in this industry for a while (over 40 years combined experience!) and we have always told our customers the same thing from day one – make sure you visit a showroom before you commit to a project. We’ve got kitchen showrooms in Northampton, Towcester, and Daventry so that you can be sure to have one near to you and see how we work.

We’ve put together the top five reasons why you should visit a kitchen fitters showroom, these can give you an idea of what to ask, what to look for, and what you should hope to get out of it.

1 on 1 Design Time

Once you’ve shortlisted a company to design, build and fit your kitchen it’s important to see how they see your role within the project. The best kitchen designs we’ve done have been working with customers who are keen to give us their input, especially at the design stage.

If you can sit down with the designers you’ll be able to make sure that your ideas and vision are heard and incorporated into the plan. Without your input and suggestions, it’d be impossible to achieve your dream kitchen.

Be Unique

Your kitchen is one of the rooms in your house you’ll spend the most time in. With that in mind, it should be an extension of your personality and tastes. By visiting a showroom you get the opportunity to see the full range of colours and styles on offer that you might not be able to view online or through a brochure.

Meet the Team

Committing to a new kitchen isn’t something that you decide on lightly, it’s a decision to alter one of the most important rooms in your home. Add in that, on average, you can see the value of your house rise by 6% – it’s a project that you will want to make sure that you’re prepared for.

Visiting the showroom allows you to meet the team of people who will be involved in your kitchen project, it’s important that you are happy and trust the people who will be carrying out the work; from project planning to installation. During your time in the showroom, you will be able to gauge how the working relationship will gel and work towards the end goal.

Seeing is Believing

While you’re in a showroom you should take advantage of being able to see things first hand. You can not only see the visual aesthetics that will make up your new kitchen but also you should take some time to examine the build and feel of the materials being used. A flatpack unit might seem the best value, but would a fully rigid cabinet be more appealing from a fitter’s perspective and more importantly is it going to be durable three years down the line? You should make sure to ensure that the materials don’t just look the part but also can maintain the test of time when fitted.

Tailor to Your Budget

At Saturn, we will invite you into our showroom so that we can fine-tune our original design with yourselves present to provide us with guidance and feedback in real-time. It also allows us to show you not just the total cost of the renovation but also where the money is going in the project.

This means that you can make changes to individual items that you might not value as highly as others. For example, if your heart is set on an induction hob you might decide to move some of the budget from door handles towards offsetting the higher cost to keep it within your agreed spend.
